Consignment Note Disclaimer

I had some interesting feedback from a client last week regarding a consignment of vegetables sent to a client. A week after the delivery was made the client complained that the produce was of poor quality and refused to pay. There were many thousands of dollars involved. My client was convinced that the product when shipped was in excellent condition and believed that it was poorly stored and not placed in the market in a timely manner.

In this instance the client had no comeback as they did not have a disclaimer on their consignment note requiring the customer inform them of any problems within a certain period of time after the delivery. GrowData Packing now has an option in the set up where you can paste in your disclaimer (preferably supplied by your lawyer). This disclaimer will appear on every con note you produce and will cover you against late complains regarding quality.
