JADE Quality Kiwifruit!

Nestled beside the river in Victorias beautiful Ovens Valley ‘Jade Quality’ are growing kiwifruit.  The atmosphere under the cool thick canopy is other worldly with thousands of brown furry globes hanging like Christmas decorations.

Jade Quality is using GrowData software to track their chemical applications as well as their cost of production.  In addition they are looking to reduce the amount of manual data recording currently  required by using bar code technology to track pickers tallies and bin movements from receival through the pack house, into the cool rooms and then to the end user.  In addition to having full traceability they will have packout performance, stock on hand and numerous reports at the press of a button.

The kiwifruit journey continues once again when the fruit has been sold.  Consignment notes are printed and prices received for the fruit recorded in GrowData.  This enables both macro and micro reports to be generated which can be used to analyse the profitability of each block on the Orchard.  Other management decisions can be made with a clear understanding of costs and income between defined timelines.
